Save Our Hospitals certainly succeeded in making sure that defending our NHS - especially maintaining Charing Cross & Ealing as major, acute hospitals were important election issues. SOH distributed around 30,000 leaflets in all kinds of weather with many supporters putting in hours at schools, hospitals, markets and tube stations. It paid off - both councils have been given a clear public mandate to continue to fight to stop the closure of local hospital beds and services and are in a strong position to challenge government cuts & closures that have no public support.
