It's the Birthday of the NHS

It's the birthday of the NHS on Saturday in Hammersmith and Fulham and the Save our Hospitals campaign will be celebrating in style.

66 years giving health care to generations from the cradle to the grave based on need not ability to pay.

All this is at risk now with huge local cuts and closure plans - closing our A&Es at Hammersmith and Charing Cross, selling off most of the land at CX, losing around 300 acute beds, our intensive care unit and our world class stroke unit.

Save our Hospitals are organising not just a birthday party but a demonstration and rally as well to get home the message to the pen pushers and bureaucrats that we will not allow our local NHS to be ruined. Nye Bevan founded the NHS saying that it would last only as long as there were folk prepared to defend it.

Come and be one of the folk.

Sat July 5th 2pm demonstration Fulham Palace Rd (opp CX hospital) then rally/party round the corner in Frank Banfield Park.
