Tuesday 26th August – 7.30 – 9.30pm – Hammersmith Town Hall (Small Hall)

At the end of the Imperial Trust Board Meeting on 30th July, Merril Hammer, as chair of SOH, invited Tracey Batten, the new Chief Executive of Imperial, to meet with her and other officers of SOH to listen to the concerns of local people about the hospital cuts, closures and reorganisation. We are expecting to meet with Tracey Batten some time in early/mid September.

We want to make sure that the questions and issues we raise with her are the questions and issues that you, our supporters, consider to be the important ones. This workshop will provide the opportunity for you to work in groups identifying key questions about issues such as transport; out of hospital care services; what are Urgent Care Centres and local hospitals; financial matters – cuts and privatisation – costs of demolition and rebuilding; mental health and other specific health worries; how the changes will be managed. We will ensure that there is time for you to raise any specific individual issues.

So that we can organise the workshops so that everyone is involved, it would be very helpful if you could let us know if you are intending to come. Could you email us at SCXH&H Group [] – or just ‘reply’ to this email – by Saturday 23rd August.

There will also be a short briefing on preparing for the CQC inspection of Imperial and the listening meeting on 2ndSeptember – more details to come in the regular newsletter.

Short notice … things are moving quickly at the moment! But we hope to see as many as possible on 26th.

Best wishes, Merril

NOTE: If you can’t attend the workshop – and even if you can but think of something later! – you can email us, as above, with your questions and issues to raise with Tracey Batten. Can you please let us have these by the end of August so that we can collate and organise things for the meeting.

Dr Tracey Batten, the new Chief Executive of Imperial Trust NHS
